Progress thus far

I think what really touches me most is the fact that God is really working and people who serve in coffee ministry usually go home, changed. It's really cool to be able to witness all these.

God is good. God always provides. God is faithful.

On top of that, one important thing that everyone and anyone can take home, is the power of prayer. On so many occasions, people have been sharing how they have been earnestly praying for an opportunity to share their testimony, and they get it. God is listening and God will answer. Not only does He provide the opportunity, He also provides the wisdom and even the right words for each individual situations. And this is the same God that we believe in, that we are serving.

Ephesians 6:12
12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

And isn't it comforting to know that our God will come out of this victorious? Isn't it also cool to know that you can be part of this great plan? So

Ephesians 6:13-18
13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

Including tonight, we still have 5 more coffee min sessions. Continue to pray that God will work wonders in each session, and it's still not too late for you to come down and serve alongside us! Meet us at north court, 7pm sharp, Monday-Thursday.

To love.

1 John 3:18
Let us not love in word or talk, but in deed & truth.

Coffee min has been excellent so far (: Thankyou everyone who's contributed. (: Keep praying & trusting!

So exciting (:

Let's not limit God! Nothing is impossible with Him.
As coffee min starts (in less than 24hours!), dare to ask more of Him. (:
1 Peter 3:13-17
Who will harm you if you are eager to do what is good? But even if you should suffer for doing what is right, how happy you are! Do not be afraid of anyone, & do not worry. But have reverence for Christ in your hearts, & honour him as Lord. Be ready at all times to answer anyone who asks you to explain the hope you have in you, but do it with gentleness & respect. (...) For it is better to suffer for doing good, if this should be God's will, than for doing evil.

How to share the gospel

We love because He first loved us

A MISSIONARY once undertook to instruct a group of Indians in the truths of his holy religion. He told them of the creation of the earth in six days, and of the fall of our first parents by eating an apple. The courteous savages listened attentively, and after thanking him, one related in his turn a very ancient tradition concerning the origin of the maize. But the missionary plainly showed his disgust and disbelief, indignantly saying: —“What I delivered to you were sacred truths, but this that you tell me is mere fable and falsehood!” “My brother,” gravely replied the offended Indian, “it seems that you have not been well grounded in the rules of civility. You saw that we, who practice these rules, believed your stories; why, then, do you refuse to credit ours?” (Eastman, 2002, 30–31)25

THE SOUL OF AN INDIAN – Charles Eastman

Even as we become bold and passionate as we share the gospel, let us also remember to be sensitive to the people around us and their beliefs.

And let us do so by loving them because Christ loved us first.
19We love because he first loved us. 20If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. 21And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother.
1 John 4:19-21

Our hope is in You

As exams & insurmountable hours of studying and stress loom ahead, take comfort that the truth remains;

Matthew 11:28: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

Matthew 13: 16-17: "But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. For I tell you the truth, many prophets and righteous men longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it."

&&

2 Timothy 1:7: "For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline."

With confidence & reassurance rooted firmly in our hearts, let's take that leap of faith and spread truth and light where there is darkness.
Break intimidation; & let us see amazing things unfold :)
